On a closer look, one of the trinkets proved to be a valuable ‘tabatière’ – a French snuff box from the 18th century – which had gone unnoticed by the owner. We got in touch with him immediately to apprise him of our discovery. Then everything was removed from the kitchen – electric cooker, crockery and utensils – and we moved up to clear all items in bedrooms and bathroom. As soon as everything had been cleared out and cleaned, we left the property in pristine condition.
