We were assigned the task of clearing out this 1 bedroom bedsit in Carlisle – a property so full and hoarded it had reached the ceiling.
The bedsit contained hundreds of bottles and cans, filled with urine, food waste, and human excrement, it had an extremely bad smell. A double bed with a stained mattress, a show case and a fabric storage bin completed the furniture in the room.
Our four-man team clearing the area was provided with the appropriate safety equipment since there were many unattended open bottles of urine and other contaminants as mentioned above.
It took 5 hours of laborious effort to rid the property entirely, a task requiring 3 van-loads. Unfortunately, nothing could be repurposed due to contamination from spoiled food, and the very unsanitary conditions.
This job went beyond the usual unpleasantness, but our Carlisle House Clearance team didn’t let that affect them; with determination, they stayed on track and completed it in keeping with the original time frame and price. Despite its messiness, odour and complexity, we prevailed and our customer was over the moon. Glad to have been of service.
